We’re excited to share that our highly anticipated Petrof piano order arrived last Friday!
One of Europe’s premier producers of acoustic pianos, Petrof pianos have been made since 1864 just outside of Prague by six generations of the Petrof family. One of the few remaining family-owned piano makers, Petrof remains family owned and operated to this very day, and is currently led by Susan and Anna Petrof.
Petrof pianos are revered for their rounded, romantic tone and uncompromised manufacturing standards. While Petrof produces a limited production of acoustic grand and upright pianos, they are currently distributed to 65 countries in 5 continents.
Famous Petrof piano artists include Billie Eilish & Finneas, Paul McCartney, David Helfgott, Ray Charles, Bill Gates, Mariah Carey, jazz pianist and composer Count Basie, as well as one of my personal favorites - composer Ennio Morricone (Cinema Paradiso, The Mission). Noteworthy concert artists include Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli, Sviatoslav Richter, Richard Clayderman, Mark Levinson, Colleen Lee, Ivo Kahánek, Jan Simon, Bob Milne, Ted Howe, Karel Košárek and many others…
In recent news, Billie Eilish’s song “What Was I Made For?” won the award for Best Original Song at the 2024 Golden Globes. Both Eilish and her brother Finneas wrote this song, which they composed on a Petrof piano.
See the video bellow with Finneas discussing how he composed the song on the Petrof piano.
